Rebound Oral Electrolyte Solution (OES) — Beef Flavored Concentrate

Why was Rebound Beef Flavored Concentrate developed?
While most dogs like the taste of our original chicken flavor, some prefer the taste of beef. This gives the veterinarian more options when an electrolyte solution is needed.

Is this Rebound Beef Flavored Concentrate safe for cats?
Yes, not only is it safe for cats, but many prefer the beef flavor over our original chicken flavor. This is a great option for cats that are in need of electrolyte therapy.

What is the difference between Rebound Beef Flavored Concentrate and the original product?
There are several differences — it is beef flavored instead of chicken, it contains Glutamine and Taurine and it is sold as a concentrate.

Why is it offered in a concentrate?
Some veterinarians like the ability to control the level of electrolytes and fluids in a particular patient. This electrolyte/fluid balance can be different depending on the diagnosis and treatment of the patient. Patients may also require a calorie dense, low volume alternative, while others will need less calories but more fluids.

How many calories are in Rebound Beef Flavored Concentrate?
240 calories per 8 ounce serving when used "as is" and 60 calories when diluted by a 3:1 ratio.

What is the caloric density of Rebound Beef Flavored Concentrate?
There are 1.01 calories/ml when uses as is.

What is the benefit of Glutamine and Taurine?
In animal research, Glutamine has shown to have anti-inflammatory effects and has the ability to repair the gut by maintaining the structural integrity of the bowels. Glutamine is an important component of muscle protein — and helps repair muscle. It also helps maintain cell volume and hydration, which quickens wound healing. Often, with GI cases, there is damage to the intestinal track from vomiting/diarrhea, glutamine helps repair this damage.

Taurine is an essential amino acid that is very beneficial for cats. Cats do not produce Taurine on their own so it is critical they receive Taurine in their diet. Taurine is a key component that helps contribute to antioxidant defenses.
